SEVERE ANEMIA


Severe Anemia may occur due to acute haemorrhage, acute haemorrhage,acute haemolysis or dyshemopoeis due to deficiency of iron, folic acid, vitamin B12 ,aplasia of the bone-marrow or cronic diseases like uraemia and hepatic failure. CLINICAL FEATURES:- The clinical features of severe anemia are: 1- Cardiac 2-CNS 3-Miscellaneous TREATMENT- The correct approach to a patient of anemia is to find out the cause and treat the cause to cure anemia. However,emergency treatment is necessary if there are cardiac or cerebral symptoms. 1- Packed cell transfusion 2- Specific treatment
